Our process

Onboarding a Vacancy

Either an Account Manager or the relevant consultant would set up an onboarding call with a member of your team to fully understand the scope of the vacancy beyond the job description. This includes; role & responsibilities, requirements (technical/ experience/ personal), challenges faced, ambition, culture, target competitors & progress on the search so far.

We believe a thorough understanding of the vacancy is the strongest basis on which to conduct a successful search.

Search & Selection Process

Our consultants will begin their search using the parameters set out during the onboarding call for the vacancy. We will utilize a mixture of resources to conduct a successful search including our existing network, referrals, advertisement and pro-active headhunting. We do not subscribe to any job boards and believe a proactive approach often targeting candidates that are not actively seeking to work allows our clients to see a wider range & often higher quality shortlists.

Many of our candidates have been known to us for some time but our process for vetting a candidate will normally take between 1 & 3 calls depending on the quality of the preceding calls. We will explore their prior experience & responsibilities, current capabilities & motivations for to make a move to judge their suitability to be able to do the role successfully, whether they will actually make the move should an offer be presented & whether they would also be a cultural fit for your organization.

We place an emphasis on getting to know a candidate on a personal level for a couple of reasons. There are many aspects of an individuals life that can affect their ability to make a move so we feel its important to understand any particular roadblocks or motivators. We also want our candidates to feel we are a trusted source of advice for them which assists in persuading them to join your organization, having connected on a personal level this increases the level of trust.
