Our structural engineering firm is seeking a talented Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team in Baltimore, MD. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on a variety of projects in the commercial, residential, federal, healthcare, science and technology, aviation, and higher education sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed structural designs for buildings and other structures using industry-standard software such as Revit
Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and determine necessary repairs or upgrades
Analyze and evaluate structural systems using software tools and manual calculations
Prepare technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure designs are optimized for construction and meet project requirements
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design and construction
Strong understanding of building codes and regulations, including ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
Proficient in structural analysis and design software, including Revit
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
