Metric Search are currently partnered with a state-leading organisation who are looking to bring a Senior Project Manager (Geotechnical based) to their Springfield Massachusetts office.

General Responsibilities: 
Serves as a technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principals and methods in an assigned area

 
Specific Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): 
•    Serves as a technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principals and methods in an assigned area
•    Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs or applications
•    Interprets, organizes, executes and co-ordinates assignments
•    Prepares complete project documents and reports
•    Plans, schedules or co-ordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects
•    Assigns tasks and directs Project Managers, Engineers, Scientists, Technicians, and Administrative Staff
•    Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for projects or programs
•    Participate in business development program including establishing client base

Education and/Experience:  
Requires BS degree in technical field and 7 – 10 years of directly related experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works outdoors or on construction sites and near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places, and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, hot and cold conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles and oil or dirt; vibration, and accident hazard to self. 

The employee is regularly required to travel to a remote location/worksite.

The employee is regularly required to use field equipment for environmental assessments; use of protective clothing/equipment is regularly required including hardhat, boots, gloves and eye protection.
